Certificate in Advanced Massage - The Back course
This one day advanced course is for existing Massage Therapists who want to be able to perform more of a deep tissue back massage. The course also suits the recently qualified therapist or the therapist returning to work as Andrea will not only instil confidence but inspire you to reach your full potential. The course is 'hands on' with no stressful tests!
COURSE OUTLINE:
- Deep Tissue Techniques applied to the back, shoulders and neck
- Massage Techniques to help relieve headaches
- How to identify areas of tension and spasm
- Common conditions of the Back and how to modify your treatment
- Frozen Shoulder Massage
- The use of forearms/elbows for massage
- Using the hands for massage in different ways to reduce RSI in the Therapist’s wrists and thumbs
- Related anatomy of the Back
- An introduction to Soft Tissue Release Techniques
The Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists and Guild of Holistic Therapists have approved this course with 13 CPD - Students must hold a Body Massage Certificate.
Embody(CThA) have approved the course as a CPD course with 5CPD
Babtac and IPTI have also approved this course - Pre-requisite: Anatomy, Physiology and Massage Certificate.
FHT have accredited this course as a CPD course and have stated that students must hold an FHT recognised body massage qualification prior to enrolling.
